Why regular skin checks could save your life

Australia has some of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. In fact, two in three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70.

Many dangerous skin cancers, including melanoma, develop quietly. There may be no pain, no obvious symptoms, and no warning signs until the disease has progressed. This is why early detection through regular body skin checks is so important.

A full skin check with our doctors involves a careful examination of your skin, from head to toe, including areas you may not easily see. It’s quick, painless, and designed to identify suspicious moles, skin lesions, or early changes linked to sun damage.

Even if you haven’t noticed anything unusual, a yearly check helps ensure problems are identified early – when treatment is simpler, and outcomes are better.

15%

Our services

Skin checks, mole checks and skin cancer treatment

As a dedicated skin cancer clinic, we provide comprehensive skin cancer detection, diagnosis, and skin cancer treatment for adults of all risk levels. Whether you’re attending a routine skin check, monitoring a skin spot, or requiring a procedure, our doctors focus on accuracy, clarity, and outcomes.

Full body skin checks

A thorough head-to-toe examination to assess moles, freckles, and other areas of concern – including places you can’t easily see. Recommended annually for all adults, especially those with fair skin, a skin cancer history, or high sun exposure.
Concessions and under-18s are bulk billed.

Mole checks and monitoring

If you’re concerned about a specific mole or suspicious lesion, our doctors can assess and monitor changes over time. This supports early diagnosis and informed decision-making.

Skin cancer excision (surgical removal)

Confirmed skin cancers, including squamous cell carcinoma, may require skin cancer surgery. We perform precise excision under local anaesthetic, with a strong focus on safety, healing, and cosmetic outcomes.

Flap and graft surgery

For larger lesions or complex areas, flap and graft procedures may be required to assist healing after removal. These procedures are carefully planned and performed by experienced doctors.

Photodynamic therapy (non-surgical treatment)

A light-based option for certain early skin cancers and precancerous lesions. This form of skin cancer medicine avoids cutting and may be suitable for select cases.

Total body photography (for high-risk patients)

High-resolution imaging is used to track changes in moles and lesions over time. Recommended for high-risk patients with multiple moles or a strong skin cancer history.

Workplace skin check programs

We also provide on-site skin cancer detection programs for workplaces, supporting prevention and early diagnosis for employees.
