Dr Jon has over 25 years of experience in Skin Cancer diagnosis and treatment. Having graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, Flinders University of South Australia he completed further surgical training at Royal Perth Hospital. After re locating to the Sunshine Coast in 1996 Dr Jon worked in General Practice for a few years before establishing his own Skin Cancer Clinic in Buderim. Diagnosis and treatment of Melanomas is an area of expertise. He is a competent surgeon and focuses on excision of skin cancers while minimising scarring and achieving a good cosmetic result. In his downtime Dr Jon is an avid surfer and snowboarder, he also enjoys travelling and exploring with his family. Dr Jon welcomes all patients for full skin checks and ongoing skin cancer management.
Dr Harvey is an experienced skin cancer doctor with over 15 years’ dedication to the management of skin cancer. Dr Harvey was recently awarded with the global skin cancer specialist of the year award presented by Forttuna Global Excellence Awards held in Dubai December 2023.
Dr Harvey grew up on a cattle property in Queensland before completing his senior school years in Brisbane. He completed his Medical Degree at James Cook University and internship at the PA Hospital. He completed further training across various Queensland Hospitals and spent several years working in the United Kingdom.
He is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College. Dr Harvey holds a Masters of Medicine and Masters of Health Economics (University of Queensland). He has also completed a further degree through the Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA) in Leading Digital Transformation in Health Care.
He also holds the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
While studying he was the Captain of the University Rugby team, and tutored anatomy and physiology. In 2013 he obtained a Guinness World Record for playing the trumpet in the world’s largest orchestra. Thereafter, he married and moved to London. During his time, Dr Harvey developed a taste for travel and he and his wife have now visited over 50 countries. Outside of his clinical work he now spends most of his time raising his young son and daughter and coaching his under 6 rugby team.
Practising medicine since 1982, Dr James Bricknell has worked in a variety of general practice settings and has always had an interest in skin as a sub-specialty. James loves to study and in 2001 he formally began studying skin cancer medicine and received a variety of certificates and diplomas over the following ten years. He went on to become a Fellow of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and further wrote a book about the study of skin cancer medicine to help other doctors study for their Fellowships in Skin Cancer. James is highly skilled in Dermoscopy (identifying Skin Cancers) and has accurate and advanced Surgical skills. James has a very affable approach with people and enjoys sharing a great sense of humour as well as his in-depth knowledge and skills in Skin Cancer medicine. Graduated: MBBS University of Queensland (UQ) 1982, Fellowship of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia (FSCCA) 2015, Diploma of Dermoscopy (SCCA)., Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine (SCCA)., Certificates in both Dermoscopy and skin cancer surgery between 2001-2010. James was the owner and Director of both Skin Medical Clinic and Noosa Skin Cancer Surgery 2013 to March 2025 and he is proud to be working with the On Point Medical group. James enjoys travelling, learning new languages and spending quality time with his family and close friends.
Dr Clinton Nash is a GP with a special interest in skin cancer medicine, including dermatologic surgery and post-operative scar optimisation.
Dr Nash is a graduate of the University of Queensland School of Medicine and has completed a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Nash has had a wide range of both clinical and hospital experience including both general and plastic surgery. He holds a Masters in Surgical Science through the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, graduating with distinction with his thesis on novel scar therapeutics.
Dr Nash and his wife are avid birders and can often be found roaming the wetlands in Brisbane in the early hours of the morning. His second calling is wildlife photography, so if he is not taking photos of moles he will be out in the bush taking photos of our local wildlife. They are also kept busy at home with the arrival of their son.
