Tony Blake

Dr Tony Blake

MPharm MD FRACGP Dip Child Health Cert Skin Cancer

Dr Blake is a Queenslander through and through. He grew up in Port Douglas, in Far North Queensland, before chasing the surf to the Gold Coast where he completed his tertiary studies. Before becoming a doctor, Dr Blake worked as a community pharmacist for almost a decade but a passion for helping others in a more hands on capacity led him to pursue life as a Doctor of Medicine (graduating from Griffith University in 2015). 

Dr Blake has extensive experience in performing skin checks and treating skin cancer, having previously worked alongside Queensland’s leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons at the Mater Hospital and in private practice. He has also completed a Certificate of Practical Dermoscopy and Certificate in Advanced Procedural Skills through the Australasian College of Dermatology. Dr Blake is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. 

Medical research is also an area of interest for Dr Blake and as such he has completed and published articles in leading medical journals including the Australasian Journal of Dermatology and the Australian Journal of General Practitioners. Notably, his research into the diagnosis of melanoma was awarded as one of the most cited publications of 2022. Dr Blake also values the importance of medical education and is a lecturer at the Griffith University School of Medicine. 

Outside of work, Dr Blake is an avid supporter and member of the Gold Coast Suns AFL team. His favourite hobby is surfing and on weekends, he can often be found at the beach with his young family.

Dr Heather Eribo grew up in Far North QLD and completed her medical training at James Cook University in 2016 . Dr Eribo has worked in multiple regional communities such as Mount Isa, Darwin and Toowoomba. Her initial focus was in the field of general surgery before making the transition to general practice and skin cancer medicine. She relocated to the Sunshine Coast in 2021 to complete her GP training. Outside of work Dr Eribo enjoys the outdoors and the beautiful scenery the Sunshine Coast has to offer.

Dr Jon has over 25 years of experience in Skin Cancer diagnosis and treatment. Having graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, Flinders University of South Australia he completed further surgical training at Royal Perth Hospital. After re locating to the Sunshine Coast in 1996 Dr Jon worked in General Practice for a few years before establishing his own Skin Cancer Clinic in Buderim. Diagnosis and treatment of Melanomas is an area of expertise. He is a competent surgeon and focuses on excision of skin cancers while minimising scarring and achieving a good cosmetic result. In his downtime Dr Jon is an avid surfer and snowboarder, he also enjoys travelling and exploring with his family. Dr Jon welcomes all patients for full skin checks and ongoing skin cancer management.

Dr Ryan Harvey

Dr Harvey is an experienced skin cancer doctor with over 15 years’ dedication to the management of skin cancer. Dr Harvey was recently awarded with the global skin cancer specialist of the year award presented by Forttuna Global Excellence Awards held in Dubai December 2023.

Dr Harvey grew up on a cattle property in Queensland before completing his senior school years in Brisbane. He completed his Medical Degree at James Cook University and internship at the PA Hospital. He completed further training across various Queensland Hospitals and spent several years working in the United Kingdom.

He is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College. Dr Harvey holds a Masters of Medicine and Masters of Health Economics (University of Queensland). He has also completed a further degree through the Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA) in Leading Digital Transformation in Health Care.

He also holds the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

While studying he was the Captain of the University Rugby team, and tutored anatomy and physiology. In 2013 he obtained a Guinness World Record for playing the trumpet in the world’s largest orchestra. Thereafter, he married and moved to London. During his time, Dr Harvey developed a taste for travel and he and his wife have now visited over 50 countries. Outside of his clinical work he now spends most of his time raising his young son and daughter and coaching his under 6 rugby team.

Dr Simon Brown

Dr Simon is a hard working doctor with a wide variety of experience in many areas of medicine. Dr Simon is a highly experienced skin cancer doctor. In addition he has worked in both hospital and private clinic settings. Before studying medicine Dr Brown was a practising Physiotherapist. 

He and his wife and two children are very excited to be living on the beautiful Sunshine Coast with all the benefits that brings, including spending quality time together on the beach!

Rachael Broadbent is a Registered Nurse who has a passion for patient education and wound management. Rachael completed her studies at Sunshine Coast University Hospital in 2023, during this time Rachael completed placement in the ICU and surgical wards this is where she found her interests in minor and complex surgical procedures. She prides herself on her exceptional patient communication and care and always has a friendly smile on her face. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her partner and their adored Pug Bambi, whilst enjoying all of the outdoor activities that the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
