Dr Peter Nicholas grew up in rural south-east Queensland and worked as an Engineer prior to studying Medicine at the University of Queensland. Since graduation he has been working as a General Practitioner with an increasing focus on skin cancer practice.
Dr Peter has completed an Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer and gained much experience in all aspects of skin cancer assessment and management, including skin checks, dermoscopy and treatment options including surgical and non-surgical options for skin lesions.
Dr Peter has a particular interest in performing thorough skin checks, managing skin cancer and promoting skin health. He is committed to assisting his patients with understanding and managing their unique skin traits and assisting with skin care.
Dr Cedric graduated from the University of Newcastle, NSW in 2016. He did his residency years in QLD, rotating through different hospitals on the Sunshine Coast, Mackay and Brisbane. He then completed his GP training in Toowoomba, attaining GP fellowship in early 2022.
His special areas of interest include skin cancer care and minor procedures & he is currently undertaking a Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) at UQ. His spare time is usually spent outdoors in the form of hiking, scuba diving and playing soccer. Dr Cedric is fluent in both English and French.
Dr Sherif Andraos is a seasoned medical professional specialising in skin cancer, with a career spanning over 15 years in this critical field.
Since 2009, Dr Andraos has been dedicated to the comprehensive management of skin cancer, conducting full skin checks and performing a range of procedures essential for effective treatment and patient care.
In addition to his expertise in general dermatology and oncology, Dr Andraos is also highly qualified and experienced in general surgery, bringing a broad surgical skill set to his practice. His extensive experience and commitment to patient
well-being make them a trusted authority in the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancer.
Dr Freya Paton completed a Bachelor of Science at the Australian National University in 2000, with an interest in genetics and immunology.
She worked in a policy position before starting her medical degree at the University of Queensland. Dr Paton graduated in 2006 and moved to the Gold Coast where she worked at the Gold Coast Hospital for a number of years in various areas of medicine and surgery. She completed her Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Fellowship in 2010 and has enjoyed practising as a family doctor for over ten years.
Dr Paton likes camping with her family and their mini groodle.
Dr. Kim Nguyen graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2011 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Her training spans a wide range of specialisations, including surgery, emergency medicine, oncology, paediatrics, and obstetrics & gynaecology. She holds an Advanced Clinical Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor.
Dr. Kim is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for her patients, combining her extensive expertise with a warm and compassionate approach. She offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for skin cancer using advanced technology, is highly skilled in facial surgeries, and has additional training in cosmetic medicine.
Beyond her work with skin cancer, Dr. Kim has an interest in managing common skin conditions such as acne, melasma, and dermatitis. She is also currently developing a skincare range designed to protect and repair the skin from sun damage.
Dr. Alison Burton is a highly skilled doctor with a focus on skin cancer detection and treatment. With a strong commitment to patient education and early detection, Dr. Burton provides exceptional care to individuals at risk of or affected by skin cancer. Her expertise in identifying various types of skin cancer enables her to develop tailored treatment plans for her patients. With a collaborative approach and a compassionate demeanor, Dr. Burton ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of care.
Dr Harvey is an experienced skin cancer doctor with over 15 years’ dedication to the management of skin cancer. Dr Harvey was recently awarded with the global skin cancer specialist of the year award presented by Forttuna Global Excellence Awards held in Dubai December 2023.
Dr Harvey grew up on a cattle property in Queensland before completing his senior school years in Brisbane. He completed his Medical Degree at James Cook University and internship at the PA Hospital. He completed further training across various Queensland Hospitals and spent several years working in the United Kingdom.
He is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College. Dr Harvey holds a Masters of Medicine and Masters of Health Economics (University of Queensland). He has also completed a further degree through the Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA) in Leading Digital Transformation in Health Care.
He also holds the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
While studying he was the Captain of the University Rugby team, and tutored anatomy and physiology. In 2013 he obtained a Guinness World Record for playing the trumpet in the world’s largest orchestra. Thereafter, he married and moved to London. During his time, Dr Harvey developed a taste for travel and he and his wife have now visited over 50 countries. Outside of his clinical work he now spends most of his time raising his young son and daughter and coaching his under 6 rugby team.
Emma Smith is a registered nurse with a keen interest in skin cancer and wound care. Emma graduated in 2020 from Queensland University of Techonology (QUT) and has been working in general practice where she has developed skills in acute and chronic wound care, patient education and assisting with simple and complex procedures. Emma is excited to extend her knowledge in skin cancer assessment and management.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys camping and experiencing the outdoors.
