Dr Tony Blake

Dr Blake is a Queenslander through and through. He grew up in Port Douglas, in Far North Queensland, before chasing the surf to the Gold Coast where he completed his tertiary studies. Before becoming a doctor, Dr Blake worked as a community pharmacist for almost a decade but a passion for helping others in a more hands on capacity led him to pursue life as a Doctor of Medicine (graduating from Griffith University in 2015). 

Dr Blake has extensive experience in performing skin checks and treating skin cancer, having previously worked alongside Queensland’s leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons at the Mater Hospital and in private practice. He has also completed a Certificate of Practical Dermoscopy and Certificate in Advanced Procedural Skills through the Australasian College of Dermatology. Dr Blake is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. 

Medical research is also an area of interest for Dr Blake and as such he has completed and published articles in leading medical journals including the Australasian Journal of Dermatology and the Australian Journal of General Practitioners. Notably, his research into the diagnosis of melanoma was awarded as one of the most cited publications of 2022. Dr Blake also values the importance of medical education and is a lecturer at the Griffith University School of Medicine. 

Outside of work, Dr Blake is an avid supporter and member of the Gold Coast Suns AFL team. His favourite hobby is surfing and on weekends, he can often be found at the beach with his young family.

Andrew

Dr Andrew (Aung) Thant

MBBS BEng FRACGP

Dr Andrew is a passionate skin cancer doctor and local to the area completing his medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2012. He then obtained his fellowship with the RACGP in 2017. He has since done further training with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia to become an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor.  He holds advanced degrees in skin cancer medicine and surgery

Dr Andrew is passionate about educating his patients about skin cancer and utilizing his training to diagnose and treat skin cancers.  He is an experienced skin cancer doctor with extensive experience in surgical procedures and is certified for skin cancer medicine.

Dr Andrew offers full body skin checks for all ages. An initial appointment will involve a thorough and detailed assessment to determine the best management plan

Dr Gobinder Kashmirian

Dr. Gobinder Kashmirian is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor dedicated to delivering personalised and comprehensive medical care to his patients. With a strong focus on dermatology, cosmetic medicine, and skin cancer management, he has completed extensive training in both skin cancer medicine and surgery, earning accreditation with the Skin Cancer College Australasia.

 

Dr. Kashmirian’s qualifications include:

Dr Cedric graduated from the University of Newcastle, NSW in 2016. He did his residency years in QLD, rotating through different hospitals on the Sunshine Coast, Mackay and Brisbane. He then completed his GP training in Toowoomba, attaining GP fellowship in early 2022.
His special areas of interest include skin cancer care and minor procedures & he is currently undertaking a Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) at UQ. His spare time is usually spent outdoors in the form of hiking, scuba diving and playing soccer. Dr Cedric is fluent in both English and French.

Dr Freya Paton completed a Bachelor of Science at the Australian National University in 2000, with an interest in genetics and immunology. 

She worked in a policy position before starting her medical degree at the University of Queensland. Dr Paton graduated in 2006 and moved to the Gold Coast where she worked at the Gold Coast Hospital for a number of years in various areas of medicine and surgery. She completed her Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Fellowship in 2010 and has enjoyed practising as a family doctor for over ten years. 

Dr Paton likes camping with her family and their mini groodle.

Her expertise in identifying various types of skin cancer enables her to develop tailored treatment plans for her patients. With a collaborative approach and a compassionate demeanor, Dr. Burton ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of care.

Dr Ryan Harvey

Dr Harvey is an experienced doctor with over 10 years’ dedication to the management of skin cancer. Dr Harvey’s goal is to provide professional, timely and affordable skin cancer treatment and excellence in the management of skin cancer.

Dr Harvey grew up on a cattle property in South West Queensland, before completing his secondary school years at boarding school in Brisbane.  Following high school, he completed his Medical Degree at James Cook University and subsequently completed his internship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He completed further training in various other Brisbane and Queensland Hospitals and spent several years working in the United Kingdom.

Dr Harvey holds a Masters in Health Economics (University of Queensland) and a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In addition to his skin cancer work he is the Medical Director of House Call Doctor.

While studying Dr Harvey was the Captain of the University Rugby team, and tutored medical students in anatomy and physiology. In 2013 he obtained a Guinness World Record for playing the trumpet in the world’s largest orchestra. Shortly thereafter that same year, he was married and moved to London where he stayed for 2 years. During his time living and working overseas,  Dr Harvey developed a taste for travel and he and his wife have now visited over 50 countries.

Dr. Kim Nguyen graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2011 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Her training spans a wide range of specialisations, including surgery, emergency medicine, oncology, paediatrics, and obstetrics & gynaecology. She holds an Advanced Clinical Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor.

Dr. Kim is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for her patients, combining her extensive expertise with a warm and compassionate approach. She offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for skin cancer using advanced technology, is highly skilled in facial surgeries, and has additional training in cosmetic medicine.

Beyond her work with skin cancer, Dr. Kim has an interest in managing common skin conditions such as acne, melasma, and dermatitis. She is also currently developing a skincare range designed to protect and repair the skin from sun damage.

Emma Smith is a registered nurse with a keen interest in skin cancer and wound care. Emma graduated in 2020 from Queensland University of  Techonology (QUT) and has been working in general practice where she has developed skills in acute and chronic wound care, patient education and assisting with simple and complex procedures. Emma is excited to extend her knowledge in skin cancer assessment and management.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys camping and experiencing the outdoors.
